Description / Special Requirements The Procedure Room may be required for the performance of procedures that do not require the full facilities of the Operating Suite. This may include suturing of wounds, dressings, administration of local anaesthesia and use of medical gases in connection with the procedures being performed. General anaesthesia will not be administered in this room. Body Protected electrical area. Note: If cardiac procedures such as indwelling cardiac pacing electrodes, intracardiac catheters or pulmonary catheters inserted into the ventricles are to be undertaken then the room should be Cardiac Protected. Acoustics: Sound attenuation level - Medium. Acoustic privacy required. Additional design considerations: - Lead sheilding may be required depending on use of mobile imaging equipment - Bariatric patient treatments may require access to mobile bariatric lifter - Provide sufficient clearances around all sides of the bed, to comply with required Guidelines
